Chris Ray King is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Scotland. His songs have a folk-rock, storytelling vibe and typically feature layered, fingerpicked guitars. 


Chris has become fascinated with the dying art of analogue recording and has rebuilt his own studio using vintage equipment. His work is recorded on vintage multitrack machines and mixed to tape. He is currently working with some great musicians on an all-analogue recording project at Anvil Recording Studios in Edinburgh.


His influences are wide and include folk, jazz, punk, progressive rock, country and electronica. If pushed, he would name The Velvet Underground as his favourite band.


He lives in Edinburgh with his family and a big, silly cat. With the exception of the cat, they are a great source of inspiration and encouragement for his music.
