Born May 10th 1935

American rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer Larry Williams. The Beatles and The Jam covered his songs. He scored the 1957 US No.5 hit single 'Short Fat Fannie' and a hit with 'Dizzy, Miss Lizzy'. Williams died from gunshot wounds on January 2nd 1980 aged 45.

He wouldve been 85 years old today
